| Kathy Huschke was raised in Traverse City and graduated from Traverse City High School in 1971. She is the daughter of Bill and Jeanne Wise. She graduated from Michigan State University and has been married to her husband John for 31 years. They have resided in Fremont, Michigan, for the past 30 years, John working for the U.S. Forest Service and Kathy working for the Fremont Area Community Foundation. They have two children, Kate Glancy, an attorney in Manistee, and Griffin, currently pursuing a master's degree in International Relations at the University of Chicago. They have always maintained a cottage in Leland and are delighted to be returning to Traverse City. They both enjoy downhill skiing, kayaking and MSU football and basketball.
